2 small cans lemon pie filling
1 small bag slivered almonds
1 yellow cake mix
1 cube of butter
1 can sprite
1 small bag shredded coconut
Add lemon pie filling to dutch oven
cover with slivered almonds
cover with yellow cake mix
add pats of butter to top
pour in 1/2 of sprite
cover with 1/2 bag of coconut
pour 1/2 of remaining sprite over coconut
place 6 coals on bottom and 18 on top and bake for about 1 hour

Chocolate, marshmallow caramel cake
1 1/2 c Water
1/4 c Coco
1 c brown sugar
10.5 oz bag mini marshmallows
1 box chocolate cake mix (and ingredients listed on box to make)
1 bag chocolate chips
Mix water, coco and brown sugar and add to oven
pour in bag of marshmallows
pour on cake mix after mixing as directed on box
pour on chocolate chips
place 8 coals on bottom and 16 on top and cook for about 1 hour (until done)

Beefed-up Chili
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 can (10 1/4 ounces) beef gravy
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beens, undrained
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/8 teaspon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced
1 large jalapeno finely chopped
In 10 inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat.
Add gravy, undrained beans, chili powder, katchup, garlic and jalapeno pepper. Heat to boiling, Reduce heat to low. Cook 15 minutes to blend flavors, stiring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
